Top-notch biotech stocks TG Therapeutics (TGTX) and Twist Bioscience (TWST) diverged Monday on mixed earnings reports that both featured earnings misses.

TG Therapeutics' miss was due to analysts underestimating operating expenses, Evercore ISI analyst Michael DiFiore said in a report.

The company earned 5 cents a share, well below the Street's forecast for a 31-cent gain.
