Yahoo Finance

Former CNBC anchor Deirdre Bosa is partnering withYahooFinance to launch a new, hourlong daily live video show focused on AI, she told Axios.
Why it matters:The deal offers a new model for independent journalists that allows them to build their own brands without giving up the distribution, infrastructure and sales support that come with a larger outlet.
"I could do this from my basement and slowly build an audience," Bosa told Axios.
And with Yahoo, Bosa noted she gets access to more than 100 million readers and retail investors that Yahoo Finance says visit the site each month.
How it works:Yahoo Finance will provide a dedicated staff for the show and will build a San Francisco-based studio to support it, said Sean Mills, vice president of content.
The program, which has yet to be named, will launch this fall.
It will feature Bosa conducting interviews with researchers, policymakers, investors and founders shaping the AI industry.
It will also cover ways AI is transforming markets, jobs and the economy — a lens critical to Yahoo Finance users.
Zoom in:Yahoo Finance will sell ads for the show, but terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Mills said the personality-driven format is particularly attractive to advertisers who are looking for more ways to integrate with creators and video.
The big picture:The new show is part of a broader revamp of Yahoo Finance's video roster as it looks to invest more in creator content.
The outlet plans to debut a broader slate of live programming later this month.
